Taylor Skye from Jockstrap has announced a new solo project and EP
Listen to the first track from the release, ‘Kode Fine’.
Taylor Skye may best be known for being one half of weird-pop duo Jockstrap, but he’s also found the time to work on solo work of his own.
The 20-year-old musician is currently a student at London’s Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where he formed Jockstrap with bandmate Georgia Ellery, but he’s today announced he’ll be releasing a solo EP ‘Kode Fine & Sons’, which will be out 26th April.
Speaking about his first track as a solo artist, Taylor explains: “I’m not really sure what Kode Fine is about. It was the first song I made after two weeks of not making any music and just painting all the time instead. My life was a bit of a haze around that time and I was feeling very heartbroken. I was listening to a lot of Kode 9 too…”
He’s also announced he’ll be playing at Servant Jazz Quarters in London on 11th February - tickets are on sale now.
