The Bronx have announced their new album ‘V’

They’ve also shared blistering new track ‘Sore Throat’.

The last time The Bronx released an album, it was way back in 2013 with ‘IV’. Since then they’ve been busy with their side-project Mariachi El Bronx, but now they’re back in their punk form once more.

They’ve revealed that their new album ‘V’ will be out on 22nd September via Cooking Vinyl/ ATO Records, and it’s set to see the Los Angeles bunch being even more vital and confrontational than ever. Guitarist Joby J. Ford commented on the album: “It has the angst and social commentary that has characterized The Bronx from the beginning, only now the angst is aimed at more than just superficial things and the social commentary is directed at more than just people who like different music than us”.

As well as announcing the album, the band have also shared a typically full-throttle and hard hitting new single, ‘Sore Throat’. It’s also got a video filled with archive footage of old TV shows, live performances and news clips, all wrapped up into an explosive two-and-a-half minute package that shows The Bronx have lost none of their bite.

Singer Matt Caughthran said of the track: “‘Sore Throat’ is a crime scene. A triumphantly tragic story of a manic mind frozen in freefall. The sonic smashing of your moral compass; ‘let your reasons go, let your conscience be, mouth around your gun, now you’re finally free’”.
