The Cribs offer up new single ‘A Point Too Hard To Make’
The band have also announced plans for a huge hometown show in Leeds next summer.

A few months on from announcing details of their newest album, Yorkshire’s finest The Cribs are back with another big single.
Marking the second cut to be taken from their forthcoming eighth album, ‘A Point Too Hard To Make’ is a reflective but soaring number that embodies the album’s main crux of re-establishing the brothers’ relationship with themselves outside of the band. “All that 2000’s damage, basically,” Gary Jarman says, of the track. “Small-town romantics - years spent longing for connection, escape, excitement - given in abundance, for an entire decade. What do you do when the party is over? Where does it leave you? We will let you know if, [or] when we get there. We’ve still got each other though. That’s what this one is about, a bit of a kitchen-sinker, really.”
The track gets lifted from their new album ‘Selling A Vibe’ - the follow-up to 2020’s ‘Night Network’ - which is set for release on 9th January 2026, and has already been previewed via its lead single ‘Summer Seizures’. Get out the rather heart-warming video for ’A Point Too Hard To Make’ - as directed by Andy Knowles - below.
What’s more, the band have also announced plans for a very special hometown (of sorts) show in Leeds next year, when they’ll take to the stage in the city’s Millennium Square on Saturday 11th July. It’ll mark the first time they’ve played on the stage in a decade, and tickets go on general sale from 9am this Friday (31st October).
