Listen: The Cribs unveil new track ‘Year of Hate’

It’s the flipside to recent single ‘In Your Palace’.
So, you remember how The Cribs’ recent single ‘In Your Palace’ was part of a specially-released, limited-edition 7”? Well, if you didn’t manage to grab one you can now listen to the other side too.
‘Year of Hate’ is the flipside to that single, seeing them work alongside legendary producer Steve Albini. Much like ‘In Your Palace’, it’s a raucous, squalling number where the band are in fine fettle. ‘Year of Hate’? More like year of love… for The Cribs. Doesn’t work really, does it?
The Wakefield bunch are set for loads of festival dates throughout the summer, including Leopallooza in Cornwall, Oxfordshire’s The Big Festival and Festival No.6 in Portmeirion. They’ll also be supporting Manic Street Preachers at Newcastle’s Times Square.
