The Libertines announce Alexandra Palace dates

The reformed band will play two nights in north London this September.

Shortly before they went on stage at Hyde Park in central London tonight, The Libertines announced details of two further headline dates.

The reunited band, who had earlier teased fans, hinting at a further announcement tonight, will play north London venue Alexandra Palace twice (so far) this September.

The band - who performed their ‘final’ show in 2004, before briefly returning in 2010 to play Reading & Leeds Festival - are on stage for their massive London comeback show tonight (5th July).

There’s also a recently announced autumn European tour, which will see them visit France, Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, and festival appearances at Optimus Alive, Portugal (12th July) and Benicassim Festival, Spain (19th July).

The new dates are:

SEPTEMBER

27 London Alexandra Palace
28 London Alexandra Palace

A pre-sale page claims tickets are available tonight (5th July) at 11pm, though The Libertines’ Facebook page suggests Monday. Take your pick!
