The Libertines announce new album ‘Anthems For Doomed Youth’
The first single from the band’s first record in 11 years, ‘Gunga Din,’ will air tonight on Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show.
The Libertines have confirmed details of their new album ‘Anthems For Doomed Youth’. Out on September 4th via Harvest, its the band’s first record in eleven years. Their last was their self-titled second album in 2004.
The first single from ‘Anthems For Doomed Youth’ is due to air tonight. ‘Gunga Din’ will get its first spin tonight on Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show.
The Libs announced the new record on their Facebook page, saying “”Dearest one and all, the day has finally arrived, to announce the unveiling of the new Libertines record - ‘Anthems For Doomed Youth’. We do so with the utmost pride and jubilation. She (the record) will be available on the 4th of September.”
