The Libertines to release new short film
Photographer Roger Sargent has filmed a “wonderful” documentary of the band.
Marking their 2014 reunion, The Libertines have announced plans to release a short film documenting their recent comeback tour.
Taking to Facebook, the band had initially led the release with a series of preview images. They’ve since confirmed that “all of these pictures and quotes are taken from a wonderful short film that Roger Sargent made for us ahead of our recent tour.”
They added, “we’ll be unveiling the film in full soon, so keep your eyes on the Good Ship Albion as it sets course once again.”
Sargent has previously documented the band for their ‘Libertines: There Are No Innocent Bystanders’ film.
The Libertines meanwhile are set to get to work on a new album. Carl Barat confirmed he’d penned five songs for their third release, anticipated for 2015.
