The Linda Lindas share title track of forthcoming album ‘No Obligation’
The quartet’s second LP is due to arrive next month.
LA wunderkinds The Linda Lindas are back with ‘No Obligation’, the latest taste of their upcoming album of the same name (following previous cuts like ‘Too Many Things’, ‘Resolution/Revolution’, and ‘Yo Me Estreso’).
Due out on 11th October via Epitaph, The Linda Lindas’ second LP was written between school semesters (three of their four members are still full time students), and is a record that incorporates post-punk, garage rock, new wave and more into 12 tracks of insightful, candid lyricism and unrestrained energy.
“Eloise wrote this ripper because we won’t adhere to what anyone else thinks we should sound like or who they think we are,” the band have said of the new, titular track. “We don’t make music out of obligation— we make music out of love. And we’re so grateful for all of the opportunities music has given us, like going to Japan and making this video with a team including Naoko from Shonen Knife! Enjoy.”
