The Magic Gang to create love songs for fans
The group are penning custom songs for those separated by self-isolation.
With their new album ‘Death of the Party’ set for release on 21st August, The Magic Gang have decided to embark upon a very wholesome project while in self-isolation.
Reaching out to fans, the group invited them to share details of loved ones that they will then make into love songs.
“The idea to write love songs on behalf of the fans came about when we were chatting about ways in which we could contribute something positive,” they say. “We obviously can’t play shows for people at the moment and we’ve been left with a lot of free time so we thought that writing love songs on behalf of others would help bring people together - particularly those who are separated from their loved ones because of the lockdown. It’s not much, but if it puts a smile on anyone’s face or distracts them from the current state of affairs then that’ll make it worth it.”
Receiving over 1000 requests, they’ve shared first two tracks ‘To Maisie, From Ben’ and ‘To Hannah, From Michelle’ that you can listen to below.
