The xx sneakily announce North American tour by dishing out free tickets
Fans received surprise gig invites in the post after pre-ordering the band’s new record ‘I See You’.
Generous so-and-sos and all round nice bunch The xx have quietly announced a North American tour by posting free tickets and vinyl to fans as a post-Christmas surprise.
Romy, Oliver and Jamie xx confirmed their European tour last year in similar fashion; sending gig invites fans who pre-ordered their forthcoming third album ‘I See You’ (out on 13th January).
Several fans have tweeted after receiving tickets in the post, with invites to Dallas, Portland and Philadelphia shows out there so far. Sounds suspiciously like a North American tour shaping up, doesn’t it…
The band’s reps are yet to comment.
Meanwhile, The xx are playing a record-smashing SEVEN nights at London’s Brixton Academy in March. They may as well just move in, tbh.
