TOPS head to the funfair in the video for ‘Marigold & Gray’
It’s taken from their latest album ‘Sugar at the Gate’.
Back in June, TOPS released their latest album ‘Sugar at the Gate’, recorded in Los Angeles within a site of faded glamour that gave the record’s hazy charm even more weight.
Now they’ve released a video for ‘Marigold & Gray’, which combines the band’s distinctive dreampop sound with some extra driving guitar riffs. The clip, directed by Laura-Lynn Petrick, follows on from the video for ‘Further’ and captures some seriously nostalgic vibes.
In it, the Montreal band head to the fun fair and look like they’re having a great time throughout. They play some skeeball, win some prizes, eat some pretty good looking food and, of course, take a spin on the rides. When it’s finally time to leave at the end of the day, they all look genuinely quite sad. It’s like they’ve documented the feeling that comes with the end of the summer.
