Troye Sivan announces new album ‘Something To Give Each Other’
The star is previewing his forthcoming third record with new track ‘Rush’.
Troye Sivan has announced plans to release his new album ‘Something To Give Each Other’ later this year.
Having broken out with his debut ‘Blue Neighbourhood’ in 2015 before following it up in 2018 with ‘Bloom’, the Australian singer has now confirmed plans to release his third full-length - which has been dubbed “a celebration of sex, dance, sweat, community, queerness, love and friendship” - on 13th October via Polydor.
The album - which follows on from his 2020 EP ‘In A Dream’ and his recent acting appearance in HBO’s The Idol - was written alongside Oscar Görres (Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Sam Smith), Ian Kirkpatrick (Dua Lipa, Britney Spears), Leland (Selena Gomez, Ava Max) and Styalz Fuego (Khalid, Imagine Dragons).
Troye has also shared the record’s first single, ‘Rush’. “‘Rush’ is the feeling of kissing a sweaty stranger on a dancefloor, a 2 hour date that turned into a weekend, a crush, a winter, a summer,” Troye has said of the track. “Party after party, after party after after party. All of my experiences from a chapter where I feel confident, free and liberated. Independent, yet somehow the most connected to the music and community around me.”
