The makers of Trumpton aren't very happy with Radiohead

When Radiohead put out their ‘Burn the Witch,’ a few people commented on the visual similarity to the 60s children’s telly series Trumpton. Featuring an idealistic rural village, which quickly descends into a pile of satanic chaos and witch trials, it’s a far cry from the carefree adventures of Windy Miller. The makers of Trumpton aren’t very happy about it.

The son-in-law of the programme’s creator Gordon Murray, has accused Radiohead of “tarnishing the brand,” speaking to The Mail on Sunday. “It is not something we would have authorised,” he said. “We consider that there is a breach of copyright and we are deciding what to do next.”

William Mollet added, somewhat dramatically, that he would not be showing ‘Burn the Witch’ to his 95 year old father in law because “Gordon would be appalled.”
