Tycho share a new video for ‘Glider’

The clip incorporates elements from Andrei Tarkovsky’s 1972 film ‘Solaris’.

Last year, Tycho – the now full-band project of ambient maestro Scott Hansen – released their acclaimed album ‘Epoch’.

Now, with a European tour about to kick off, the band have shared a new video for their single ‘Glider’. It’s a sweeping visualiser that incorporates the flashing mutations of triangle shapes with other images. Most notably, Scott took elements from Russian filmmaker Andrei Tarkovsky’s 1972 film ‘Solaris’ (definitely not the remake starring George Clooney) and incorporated them into the video.

As mentioned, tonight Tycho are headed to Dublin’s District 8, the first stop on a tour of Europe that will also see them playing a date at London’s Roundhouse. Tickets are on sale now.
