Ultimate Painting announce second album, share lead single 'Break the Chain’ • News • DIY Magazine

Ultimate Painting, the duo of Veronica Falls’ James Hoare and Jack Cooper of Mazes, only released its sun-soaked self-titled debut LP last winter, but they’re already gearing up for the release of a second full-length.

‘Green Lanes’ is due for release on 7th August via Chicago garage rock/psych label Trouble In Mind and finds Hoare and Cooper contributing five songs each.

Recorded in Hoare’s London studio, near Green Lanes, the duo was joined by Mazes’ drummer Neil Robinson and lead single ‘Break the Chain’ is another slice of hazy folk pop, taking its cues from seventies folk and nineties indie rock alike.
