Premiere:
Vessels reach for the stars in their new ‘4AM’ video
Cinematic new clip pairs up with the bonus track from new album ‘Dilate”s special edition.
Leeds electro-heads Vessels deal in scale. Their every move more massive than the last, it’s an ethos that’s perfectly reflected in their new video for ‘4AM’, premiering below.
Pairing their jittery, serotonin flooding electronica with a series of cinematic clips of space and nature that’d make even David Attenborough blush, it’s a statement piece with a scope few others could handle.
“This track feels to me like triumph over adversity, on a grand scale,” explains the band’s guitarist Martin Teff. “I think [director] Chloe has captured that emotion nicely in the video. When Lee [Malcolm - electronics/drums] came up with those chords, it was definitely one of those moments where everyone stopped for a second and shared a knowing glance across our rehearsal room - we knew we had to do something with it… It’s also our first collaboration with the formidable Alex Banks, who mixed the track with love and care.”
Get the first look at the cinematic clip below. It’s one of two new tracks that bulk out the special edition of Vessels’ latest album ‘Dilate’ - that’s out April 1st on Different Recordings, with remixes from Ninja Tune’s FaltyDL, LV and Throwing Snow also on the tracklist.
