Vote For Your Favourite Festival At The AIM Independent Music Awards 2014

DIY’s delighted to once again be hosting the voting for the Golden Welly Award for Best Independent Festival at the AIM Independent Music Awards. From now until Thursday 24th July, you can choose your favourite festival, with final nominees being announced at the AIM Awards ceremony in London on 2nd September.

Voting is weighted according to each festival’s capacity, with the current shortlist putting the following festivals up for contention: ArcTanGent, Barn on the Farm, Bestival, Brownstock, Greenbelt, Kendal Calling, LeeFest, Meltdown Festival, Nozstock: The Hidden Valley, Secret Garden Party, Stockton Weekender, The Fling Festival, Truck Festival and Y Not Festival.

AIM Awards organiser, Lara Baker comments: “The festivals nominated in this year’s Golden Welly Award represent the diversity and brilliance of UK festivals. Large and small, they all offer something special and are organised by passionate teams of people. We wish them all luck!”

Alongside this, one voter will be chosen at random as the recipient of two guest passes to the winning festival in 2015. Previous winners were In The Woods (2013), LeeFest (2012) and Bearded Theory (2011). The AIM Independent Music Awards also hosts gongs for the best small label, breakthrough act of the year, ‘indie champion’, and plenty more.
