Watch Blood Orange perform for Boiler Room
The 40-minute set borrows from all three of his albums.

Last year, Dev Hynes (aka Blood Orange) was part of a three-day weekender set up by Boiler Room in the Poconos Mountains in Pennsylvania. Which was eventually shut down by police, allegedly because of ‘safety reasons’.
Luckily, Dev managed to perform before the cops were called in. He played a 40-minute set accompanied only by a very small cast of dancers, and the whole thing has been made available to watch now.
The set took from all three of his albums, ‘Coastal Grooves’, ‘Cupid Deluxe’ and last year’s ‘Freetown Sound’. Despite the simple setup and minimal use of lighting, the set still manages to be a striking look at the evolution of the Blood Orange sound.
