Watch: Blood Orange Unveils ‘Chamakay ft. Caroline Polachek’ Track
Dev Hynes pirouettes lots during a family reunion.

Dev Hynes has spent the past two years becoming a New York ‘it guy’, the go-to producer for every musician under the sun. His Instagram feed comes off like a guide to every cool cat hanging around NYC. Which all means his return as Blood Orange comes with some extra attention.
His latest track ‘Chamakay’ appears on second album ‘Cupid Deluxe’. It features Chairlift’s Caroline Polachek providing some seriously hypnotic vocals, plus some tropical percussive work (a new trick coming out of Hynes’ sleeve).
In the video for ‘Chamakay’, Dev heads to a family reunion in Guyana. Tracking down family members alongside director Adam Bainbridge, he ends up making tons of reunions before celebrating by performing pirouettes in the streets.
Very good indeed, Devonté.
