Watch Dev Hynes make his Blood Orange TV debut with Dita Von Teese
Talk about a TV debut - guitar solos, dust-brushes, ‘It Is What It is’.

Last night Devonté Hynes made his television debut as Blood Orange on Jimmy Kimmel Live. In a performance featuring dust-brushes, cheap pink chairs and Dita Von Teese, it’s likely to live long in the memory.
Hynes played ‘It Is What It Is’, a sweet highlight from his latest ‘Cupid Deluxe’ album, which came out in 2013.
Joined on stage by four synchronised dancers and collaborator Samantha Urbani, Hynes busted moves before being joined for a frenzied guitar solo by Von Teese.
Her role involved holding up sheet music for Hynes to play from, climaxing a performance that featured pretty much everything.
Ahead of the performance, Dita Von Teese posted an Instagram shot of the sheet music, plus the high heels she took to the stage in.
