Watch: Drake Reveals ‘Take Care’ Feat. Rihanna, ‘HYFR’ Feat. Lil Wayne Videos
It’s beautiful. It’s different from anything Drake has ever done.”“
They’ve been teasing it for weeks but Drake has finally unveiled the video for ‘Take Care’.
Simply retweeting a link to Octobers Very Own, Drake pointed followers to this page, which houses the full length video.
Speaking to Capital FM recently, Rihanna said of the video, ‘I can’t wait to see what all my fans think. I saw it a couple of days ago. I love it.
‘It’s beautiful. It’s different from anything Drake has ever done.’
The video’s director has also spoken about what fans can expect from it, calling the three-day shoot ‘very minimal’ and ‘mellow.’
Director Yoann Lemoine added, speaking to MTV, ‘They seemed to be super close, and that’s what I wanted for the video. They fit together pretty well, so it was just easy.
‘There’s a lot of space in the video, and I wanted the visuals to pay tribute to that,’ he continued. ‘It pays tribute to nature. When I listened to the track, I was seeing a landscape … involving animals and massive landscapes. I won’t say too much, but it’s very surprising that there are very few elements in it. It’s very simple but there’s this big sense of emptiness in it. It’s not narrative at all, and it involves animals.’
‘Take Care’ features samples from Jamie xx’s take on Gil Scott Heron’s ‘I’ll Take Care Of You’ alongside vocals from both Rihanna and Drake.
Before tweeting the link to ‘Take Care’, Drake also retweeted a link to the video for ‘HYFR’ featuring Lil Wayne, which he simply teamed with the words ‘Mazel Tov’. Check out the video below.
