Watch Florence + The Machine cover Foo Fighters’ ‘Times Like These’ at Glastonbury 2015
One headliner paid tribute to another on the Pyramid Stage last night.
Last night (26th June), Florence + The Machine stepped up to the plate with a dazzling, statement-making closing set on the Friday of Glastonbury 2015.
Given headline duty after Foo Fighters had to pull out - due to Dave Grohl’s broken leg - Florence Welch paid tribute to the band with a special cover of their ‘Times Like These’ track.
Far from a haphazardly put-together rendition, Florence’s delivered a horn-backed version, adding her own unique spin on the original.
Welch introduced the song by dedicating it to Dave Grohl: “He was so incredibly kind and supportive to us when we were first starting out, and we were so sad to hear he broke his leg.”
