Watch footage from Wolf Alice, Black Honey, Slaves and co’s Bands 4 Refugees gig
All our faves banded together for a special charity covers gig last weekend.
Last weekend, Wolf Alice, Swim Deep, Black Honey, Years & Years, Slaves (deep breath) Bloody Knees, Dream Wife, Superfood, Peace, and basically all your faves got together and put on a Band 4 Refugees charity gig epic.
Billing themselves as The Various Legends Cover Band, the…well, various legends, put their own spin on everything from The Cranberries to Beastie Boys, and an air-horn laden take on Cyndi Lauper courtesy of Years & Years’ Olly Alexander, Wolf Alice’s Ellie Rowsell, and Izzy B Phillips from Black Honey.
Members of Superfood and Swim Deep also teamed up for a rendition of Kanye West and Estelle banger ‘American Boy,’ while basically everyone involved in the entire show performed ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ together.
Thanks to a front row fan, Ess Gee, anyone who missed out on the gig can watch footage from the covers night below.
