Watch Jonny Greenwood showcase a new song, ‘Skip Loop’
Performance took place with the London Contemporary Orchestra at Camden Roundhouse.
Over the past few months, Jonny Greenwood has been playing a handful of orchestral-based performances in advance of his score for the new Paul Thomas Anderson film, ‘Inherent Vice’.
Back in June he performed alongside the London Sinfonietta Orchestra at Glastonbury Festival, and earlier this week he gave another UK performance at the London Roundhouse. At that show, he debuted a new song ‘Skip Loop’, while playing with the London Contemporary Orchestra.
‘Skip Loop’ links up with its sort-of namesake ‘Loop’, which gains its first play at London’s Wapping Hydraulic Power Station.
Meanwhile, word’s started filtering out about a new Radiohead album, with Jonny recently revealing that he’s been exchanging new song ideas with Thom Yorke over ideal.
“I was emailing stuff to Thom last night, actually,” Greenwood told The Sunday Times. “But it’s not the same, is it? You don’t see [Yorke] tutting.”
