Ella Yelich O’ Connor has been trying her hand at a new batch of covers during recent shows. At Philadelphia’s Mann Center, the 17-year-old New Zealander played snippets of two tracks: Kanye West’s ‘Flashing Lights’ and Bon Iver’s ‘Heavenly Father’.

Footage of the covers has emerged, viewable below. ‘Flashing Lights’ melds into ‘Bravado’, with ‘Heavenly Father’ performed in full.

Her current run of North American dates - with Majical Cloudz acting as support - concludes on 10th October in San Diego. These will be her final performances on the back of 2013 debut album ‘Pure Heroine’.

A new Lorde single is due out later this month, arriving as part of the singer’s curating role for ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1’.
