Bon Iver launches ‘VOLUMES’ live album series 

Bon Iver has announced ‘VOLUMES: ONE’, the first in a series of archival, “non-studio” albums that will bring together live recordings, demos, and unreleased material, all specially curated by Justin Vernon himself. 

Due out on 3rd April via Jagjaguwar, this inaugural instalment - snappily titled ‘VOLUMES: ONE - SELECTIONS FROM MUSIC CONCERTS 2019-2023 BON IVER 6 PIECE BAND’ - is a collection of ten performances from across a four year period which, after meticulously combing through hours of live footage, Vernon has proclaimed “is really us at our best”. 

Continuing, he suggests: “Here, if you’ve never heard Bon Iver, or you have and you didn’t like it, this might be for you.”

Incorporating music from 2016’s ‘22, A Million’ and 2019’s ‘i,i’, ‘VOLUMES: ONE’ will also include Covid-era cut ‘P.D.L.I.F.’, a cover of Mahalia Jackson’s ‘A SATISFIED MIND’, and ‘HEAVENLY FATHER’ - a fan-favourite that has now been restored to streaming platforms.
