Watch Mark Ronson, Jamie Reynolds and more attend Don Julio and i-D’s ‘La Cantina Primavera’
VIP-filled event celebrated Mexico’s original luxury tequila.

Last week, some of music and fashion’s big names were invited to a unique event celebrating Mexico’s original luxury tequila, Don Julio.
Chef and food writer Gizzi Erskine joined forces with Don Julio and i-D to put on ‘La Cantina Primavera’, which took place at East London’s Kachette. Amongst the guests were Mark Ronson, Klaxons’ Jamie Reynolds, plus Billie JD Porter, Lou Hayter and Millie Mackintosh.
Erskine’s involvement stemmed from recent trips to Mexico, and she put on a unique menu celebrating the country’s cuisine. While guests enjoyed a variety of Mexican dishes created by East London’s Breddos Tacos, they were also immersed in a tequila tasting experience, put on by Don Julio Brand Ambassador, Deano Moncrieffe.
“When i-D approached me about hosting La Cantina Primavera I jumped at the chance. The whole idea of celebrating fresh and original ways to enjoy food and drink is so me - I couldn’t wait to work on a menu to match these amazing tequila cocktails. Tonight we are showcasing a truly unexpected side to Mexican food and tequila and putting them in the spotlight,” says Gizzi Erskine.
