It must be hard for band’s to get attention nowadays. Way back when it was much simpler, bands could just knock up a fanzine and music-lovers everywhere were hooked. These days we even have a band NAMED Fanzine…
It’s hard to grab our collective eyes here at DIY Towers. We’re used to promotional coffee mugs and band key-rings being sent to us daily. So what are musicians supposed to do to get attention now that we’re all overly-used to being bombarded?
How about performing an hour-long set on one of the biggest American talk shows? Yep, that’s bound to get a bit of buzz alright.
That’s exactly what The Shins have done to promote latest album, ‘Port Of Morrow’. You can watch the televised gig on CBS’s ‘Late Show With David Letterman’ above.
