Watch The xx play New York’s Guggenheim art museum, showcasing new material

30-minute Dior-hosted event saw them previewing LP3.

Earlier this week, The xx played a unique pre-party concert at New York’s Guggenheim art museum ahead of its International Gala weekend.

The 30-minute set saw them performing tracks from their self-titled debut and 2012’s ‘Coexist’, as well as a brief glimpse of material from album number three.

A$AP Rocky, Marion Cotillard and Raf Simons are all reported to have been in the crowd for the event, which saw the London trio performing in the centre of a room for a late night show.

Footage of the band performing ‘Islands’, ‘Angels’ and ‘Crystallised’ can be seen below. There’s also a brief Vine of them showcasing a new track.

Last night, The xx provided an update to fans on new album progress, reporting that they’re off to Los Angeles for recording sessions. Previously, they’ve recorded in Texas, Iceland and London.
