Go Away. Or not.
Watch Weezer and Bethany Cosentino perform ‘Go Away’
The band were joined by the Best Coast singer for LA radio station KROQ.

It’s been a couple of weeks since Weezer released their really very good ninth studio album, ‘Everything Will Be Alright In The End’ (6th October - see our review here).
“We knew we wanted to make a classic Weezer-sounding album,” frontman Rivers Cuomo told us about the band’s decision to record with long-time collaborator and producer of both ‘Blue’ and ‘Green’ albums, Ric Ocasek in an interview featured in the October issue of DIY. “And there’s no-one on earth who can help us get that sound better than him. In fact, even when we know he’s just on his way down to the studio, we already start changing the way we play. We actually step up our game because we all grew up Cars fans, and he was a legend to us, so when he walks in the room he has this instant power and authority over us. No matter how big we get, he’ll always be a few levels above us in our minds.”
One of the stand-out numbers on the album, which the band recorded in LA, is ‘Go Away’, a co-write between Cuomo and Bethany Cosentino of Best Coast, who also sings on the track.
This week, Bethany joined the band at LA radio station KROQ for an live performance of the song, which can be watched below.
