Wilderness Festival Announces Line Up
It’s Empire Of The Sun and Noah And The Whale for the Oxfordshire event.
Oxford’s Wilderness festival has made its first line up announcement.
With a festival exclusive performance from Empire Of The Sun, as well as Noah And The Whale, the event will also feature Rodriguez, the star of last year’s documentary, ‘Searching For Sugarman’. Speaking of his appearance, Rodriguez said that; “It is an honour and pleasure to be included to perform at this year’s Wilderness. I am told that it is at a beautiful location, so we are definitely looking forward to the scene.”
Michael Kiwanuka, Tom Odell and Ghostpoet are also making they appearance at the festival. They’ll be joined by King Krule, Melody’s Echo Chamber and Lucy Rose.
Festival organisers said of the event:
“As festival organisers, Wilderness is still the mouth-watering prospect it’s always been. It’s a festival of experiences entirely shaped by the landscape of Cornbury and the surrounding Wychwood Forest. Each and every one of the amazing shows and happenings have been inspired by the lakes, valleys, copses and rides of our majestic home. From this year’s exquisite banqueting concepts to the epic theatrical shows we are bringing over from mainland France, it will be a weekend of both electrifying entertainments and restful escape. We can’t wait.”
Wilderness won Best New Festival in 2011 at the UK Festival Awards and Best Small Festival 2012 at the Live Music Awards.
Weekend Tickets are priced at £139, and children aged 10 and under go free. Tickets are available from www.wildernessfestival.com.
