Willis Earl Beal was recently booked into jail for mischief and harassment

Singer-songwriter Willis Earl Beal reportedly spent two weeks in a Portland, Oregon jail as recent as the last month.

As reported by SPIN, Beal was imprisoned on 23rd July with a charge of mischief and harassment, with a representative confirming that an incident took place resulting in a “broken window at a club.”

Jean Smith - a member of Mecca Normal - tweeted that Beal’s arrest could be related to a recent online crowdfunding page on YouCaring calling for the release of Willis Earl Beal. Since his arrest, the representative has confirmed to SPIN that Willis Earl Beal has been released and that all “assumptions are correct.”
