Wolf Alice, Jamie xx, Skepta nominated for Ivor Novello awards
Ceremony takes place on 19th May.

This year’s Ivor Novello awards have been announced, celebrating the best in British songwriting.
Wolf Alice’s Ellie Rowsell has been nominated for Best Song Musically and Lyrically, with ‘Bros’. She’s up alongside Ed Sheeran’s ‘Bloodstream’ and the mercilessly drab ‘Wasn’t Expecting That’ by Jamie Lawson.
The Best Contemporary Song nominees are ‘Shutdown’, by Skepta, plus Roots Manua’s ‘Cargo’ and Snakehips’ ‘All My Friends’ collaboration with Chance the Rapper.
Jamie xx is up for the Album Award, for ‘In Colour’. Gaz Coombes’ ‘Matador’ and Villagers’ ‘Darling Arithmetic’ are also in contention.
The 61st Ivors take place on 19th May at London’s Grosvenor House.
