Slaves were a surprise support at tonight’s Wolf Alice London show
The last-minute addition came following Theo Wolf Alice being forced to step back due to elbow infection.
Tonight, Wolf Alice kicked off their residency at The Forum in London’s Kentish Town, marking the occasion with a surprise support slot from Slaves.
The Tunbridge Wells duo took to the Forum stage at 8:30pm, following opener Crows (whose amazing ‘Unwelcome Light’ EP got its first spin on DIY this week - catch up with that here). The surprise slot also followed sad news from Wolf Alice bassist Theo Ellis, who was forced to sit at the sidelines this evening due to an elbow infection which prevented him from performing. Gengahr guitarist John Victor filled in on four-string duty - no word yet as to whether Theo will be well enough to perform at the remaining Forum dates.
Wolf Alice play the Forum tomorrow (Sunday 27th March), Monday (28th) and Tuesday (29th). Watch a short clip of Slaves’ surprise set below, and catch up with DIY’s July 2015 cover feature with Wolf Alice, ‘A Golden Age’.
