Wolf Alice’s Ellie Rowsell makes ‘Badass Playlist for a Badass Chick’ playlist for Swim Deep
Hear the latest ‘Swim Deep FM’ guest mix.
Wolf Alice’s Ellie Rowsell has put together an exclusive mix for ‘Swim Deep FM’, the Birmingham-bred group’s radio station, where they invite friends to showcase their favourite songs.
Last week saw Drenge’s Eoin Loveless going gung-ho country with an extended mix. Rowsell has made a mix called ‘Badass Playlist for a Badass Chick’, bringing together songs she’s been listening to on tour.
The mix includes Sufjan Stevens (“He just has so much material that it’s hard to know where to start”), Amy Winehouse (“I thought it was wonderful, it reiterated to me what an amazing musician she was,” she says of the ‘Amy’ doc) and Unknown Mortal Orcehstra - the new album “sounds like what would happen if you sent Stevie Wonder into space or something,” she says.
