Extra sheen
Years & Years’ ‘Shine’ picks up Danny L Harle remix
PC Music producer is playing this year’s Field Day.

Danny L Harle - fast-becoming one of the most exciting parts of ever-changing online crew PC Music - has unveiled a new remix of Years & Years’ ‘Shine’ ballad.
The original track is taken from Years & Years’ ‘Communion’ debut, Olly Alexander leading with a distinctive, emotionally-strung vocal. Here, he’s chipmunk’ed and given a deranged backing of squeak-tastic synths and cheesy pan pipe effects. If the charts were collectively given a new sheen and raised up a few pitches, this would be top of the pile.
Listen to the manic edit below. Catch up with Danny L Harle’s ‘In My Dreams’, too.
Danny L Harle will play Field Day (6th-7th June), where DIY is an official media partner. Tickets are on sale now. Visit diymag.com/presents for more information.
