YouTube Music Awards to return in March 2015

YouTube have announced that their Music Awards will return for a second run in March 2015, after not taking place this year.

An announcement has been followed with the creation of a new channel on the site, which will play host to videos and introductory pieces on emerging artists in the run up to the ceremony. Further details on acts involved and any directorial roles have yet to be confirmed.

The inaugural YouTube Music Awards took place in November 2013 in New York. Streamed online, the ceremony was directed by Spike Jonze and saw a number of creative, live-action performances set to the nominated music of Arcade Fire, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Eminem, Lady Gaga and more.

Check out Arcade Fire’s performance of ‘Afterlife’ (above) from the 2013 awards below. The live-action video starred Greta Gerwig.
