Park Hotel - Nothing To Lose

When they get caught in the groove it all clicks and feels like it could last forever.

Park Hotel - Nothing To Lose

Park Hotel have already given us surging singles ‘Gone as a Friend’ and ‘Going West’, showcasing their ability to mix indie-pop vibes and NYC disco motifs to create something uplifting, while also hinting at something darker.

Debut EP ‘Nothing to Lose’ builds on these singles, but expands their musical palate. Opening track ‘Make it Happen’ starts off with haunting electronics, pulsating bass lines, and New Order-esque beats. The chorus is catchy, but the pinnacle of the track is when Park Hotel gets locked in the groove and just goes for it. ‘My Mind’ slows things down to become a highlight, the haunting chorus lingering long after the song finishes. The title track sees Park Hotel channel funky post-punkers !!!.

Full of captivating melodies and throbbing disco rhythms, imagine the Rapture covering Chairlift at their most pop and you’re on the right lines for ‘Nothing To Lose’. When Park Hotel get caught in the groove it all clicks and feels like it could last forever.
