Justice - Audio, Video, Disco

It doesn’t take much to imagine the hundreds of sweaty bodies moving in time to this song.

It seemed like the world stopped when French electronic dance duo Justice let loose their new track ‘Civilization’ in the early spring. This was not at all a surprising reaction, as after three long years of waiting, the band’s fans were eager to get a hold of their new material. Enter ‘Audio, Video, Disco’, the title track of their forthcoming album on Ed Banger Records.

If you didn’t fancy the children’s voices on their previous hit ‘D.A.N.C.E.’, you’re in luck with this one. ‘Audio, Video, Disco’ begins with classical Bach-like tinklings before the compressed synths hit you. The backbeats are relentless and while the vocals are as repetitive as those on dance tracks tend to be (the title is repeated through autotune again and again while the melody soldiers on), it doesn’t take much to imagine the hundreds of sweaty bodies moving in time to this song when it gets a spin at a club near you.
