Latitude 2016
Latitude 2016: Honne
London duo release their debut album later this year.
As they approach the release of their debut, ‘Warm On A Cold Night’, HONNE are dripping with confidence. Steadily swaying and beaming as he announces never-before-played material, frontman Andy Clutterbuck and partner in crime James Hatcher exchange many an elated glance (and a couple of selfies for good measure) as they make their return to Latitude for the second year running.
Smooth and sleek, HONNE and their accompanying band take the 6Music tent’s early hours in their stride, bringing movement that is admittedly missing from their stage presence to the crowd in abundance. Occasionally embellished with slick bass and key solos, their highly polished brand of soulful love songs blend in with the early afternoon sunshine effortlessly. Bookended by previously released singles and fan favourites ‘Warm On A Cold Night’ and ‘All In The Value’, new material is more of the same from HONNE, though is missing none of the rich intimacy we’ve seen from them so far.
