EL-P confirms Run The Jewels 3 is on the way
Also states more work with Zach de la Rocha is in the pipeline.
Run The Jewels played an instore event on Tuesday at Rough Trade East, in support of their latest album release ‘Run The Jewels 2’. At the event, El-P was asked during a Q&A session about the group’s future plans, replying: “Run The Jewels 3. We Start Work in January.”
Furthermore, speaking about the collaboration with Rage Against The Machine frontman Zach de la Rocha on ‘Close Your Eyes (And Count To Fuck)’, El-P detailed the beginnings of the collaboration, disclosing the possibility of future work:
“In 1999 I spent a month in my apartment in Brooklyn with Zack de la Rocha just before he split Rage Against The Machine, working on music that will never see the light of day. I can’t speak about his future but I will say that I’m going to LA to spend another month with him in January.”
Run The Jewels will play at London’s KOKO tomorrow night (12th December). Listen to ‘Close Your Eyes (And Count To Fuck)’ below.
