FAMY preview debut album with new single ‘Ava’
Transgressive will release FAMY’s debut album this year - for now, listen to their huge new single.
Until now, it’s been all about FAMY’s potential. Now they’re embracing that next step with huge new single ‘Ava’, the biggest-sounding, most affirmed track they’ve produced to date. It forms part of a limited 12” EP on Transgressive, out this July.
An anthem in every fabric, the track consists of festival-ready chants, booming percussive parts and Bruce Yates’ unmistakeable vocals.
Whereas before FAMY stayed in the shadows - they had a good two years where not a single track saw the light of day - this is the sound of them stepping to the forefront.
A debut album is expected later this year via Transgressive. It was mostly recorded in the summer of 2012. “Ten days in a chapel. That summer was really horrible. But those ten days, we arrived at the chapel, set up and suddenly the sun came out. It was perfectly blue, beautiful,” described Bruce Yates, in a recent DIY interview.
EP Tracklist:
1. Ava
2. Ava Epilogue
3. Peter Pan
4. Have You Ever Seen The Rain
Listen to FAMY’s brilliant new single up above and pre-order via Transgressive here - it’s out 21st July. FAMY play London Lexington on 30th July.
