Joey Fourr announces debut album, ‘TO THE FLOORR’

For the past couple of years, Joseph Prendergast has been bringing the weirdest strain to a bubbling up community of DIY-or-die musicians, bedroom pop kids and underground heroes. The ex-Tubelord man’s curated shows, put together comics and every so often, released music under the JOEY FOURR moniker.

Now Prendergast has confirmed details of his debut full-length, ‘TO THE FLOORR’. Out 1st April via MÏLK, it arrives with slapped-bum-artwork (belonging to Joseph, by the way) and a lead track in the shape of ‘MY DOLPHINS’.

Streaming below on DIY, this aquatic-inclined lead is nonchalance defined, vocals sounding bored-out-their-skull while also quietly crafting something brilliantly deft and complex. Shout out to the “la la la” section, 2015’s finest so far.
