Watch Bon Iver perform a techno set in Berlin
Justin Vernon performed with Trim and Teenage Engineering at Michelberger Music
Bon Iver finally released their much-anticipated new album ’22, A Million’ on Friday and celebrated by performing a special secret show at Berlin’s Michelberger hotel last Thursday. Justin Vernon hung around a bit at Michelberger Music, though, and ended up playing a techno-heavy set at the event.
Michelberger Music focuses on collaborations, so Vernon hooked up with British rapper Trim, and members of the Teenage Engineering team, who created the OP-1 Portable Synthesiser that’s used heavily on ’22, A Million.’ It’s fair to say that the set looked a bit more upbeat than what went down at the Michelberger hotel, but it’s just the kind of curveball you’d expect from Vernon right now.
