Drummer Nick Hodgson Leaves Kaiser Chiefs
Hodgson has announced he is moving on” from Kaiser Chiefs.”

Drummer and songwriter Nick Hodgson has announced this afternoon (4th December) that he’s left his band, Kaiser Chiefs.
‘I can confirm I have left Kaiser Chiefs after 15 spectacular years,’ he posted on Twitter. ‘I’m moving on. I wish the rest of the band the very best!’
His former bandmates vocalist Ricky Wilson and bassist Simon Rix also posted the news, with Wilson saying: ‘The door is on the latch and the key under the mat. X’, and Rix commenting: ‘Good luck to @nickkaiserchief with his plans. I can exclusively confirm we will still be collaborating on pints in pubs.’
Hodgson was with the band for six albums in total, including one in their pre-Kaiser Chiefs guise (Parva) and this year’s compilation, ‘Souvenir: The Singles 2004–2012’.
It’s not yet known - although it seems unlikely - whether Hodgson will perform with the band at their recently announced Leeds Arena launch, set to take place on 13th September next year.
