Beck Discusses Plans To Release A Second Album In 2014

All the way back in December 2012, Beck began to spill the beans on plans to release two albums in the space of one year. One was a record he started all the way back in 2008 - the other was one being recorded in Nashville, which at the time Beck said he ‘may or may not finish.’

Shortly after that, he announced plans to release one more acoustic-based album and one more studio-based. The acoustic chapter’s been revealed in the form of ‘Morning Phase’. But Beck’s still looking to release the second LP in 2014.

‘I’ve been working on and off on a different set of songs,’ he told KCRW in a recent interview.

‘They’re more boisterous [than ‘Morning Phase’]. You’re screwed with any kind of adjective but hopefully we’ll get it out this year.’

Beck’s ‘Morning Phase’ is out now. He’ll play this year’s Electric Picnic (29th-31st August) and Festival No. 6 (5th-7th September).
