Beck To Release Two Albums Next Year?
Singer hints that 2013 might bring not one, but two new releases.

Aside from publishing ‘Song Reader’, his twenty song sheet music album, earlier this year, Beck has largely been absent from the physical album scene since 2008’s ‘Modern Guilt’.
However, 2013 looks set to see that change, as he’s told the NME that he may be releasing two records in the next twelve months; of the variety that doesn’t require the ability to read music to enjoy them.
‘There is music and it’s coming!’ he’s reported to have told the publication. ‘I have this one record I started in 2008. It got put to the side for a long time but recently I’ve been mixing some of the songs. I’m not sure if they’ll be singles or EPs or an album but it’ll come out in some way and it sounds… sonically adventurous. I also have a record that I recorded last year in Nashville, which I may or may not finish.’
Whilst an album has been a long time coming, Beck did release the Jack White produced single, ‘I Just Started Hating Some People Today’, on White’s Third Man Records label earlier this year. And although he might not have released any of his own recordings of that sheet music for us to hear, fans have been busy uploading their own versions of ‘Song Reader’, which you can listen to on songreader.net.
