Beck confirms details of new LP ‘Ride Lonesome’; drops swelling lead single ‘In The Night’
The long-awaited full-length will be his first since 2019’s Grammy-winning ‘Hyperspace’.

It’s official - Beck is back. Following the recent release of surprise single ‘Ride Lonesome’ back in April, the star has now shared plans to drop a full LP of the same name on 18th September (via Capitol Records).
It’ll be Beck’s first studio album in seven years; his last was 2019’s ‘Hyperspace’, and since then he’s been busy collaborating with the likes of Hinds, St Vincent, Khruangbin, Paul McCartney, and more. Recorded at United Studios Hollywood, ‘Ride Lonesome’ saw him reunite with his original touring/recording band - the musicians behind ‘Sea Change’, ‘Morning Phase’, and ‘Mutations’ - while Nigel Godrich sat behind the mixing desk.
Commenting on the collaborative process, Beck has noted: “It had been a decade since we went in the studio and recorded ‘Morning Phase’. This time it felt like the playing and the chemistry had evolved and deepened - a sound that’s come together over the decades of working together. While we were revisiting a musical and physical place, it also felt like we were finding new sounds and emotional textures along the way.”
Accompanying the announcement is the arrival of ‘In The Night’, a swelling, strings-led preview that captures the eerie beauty of being awake as the world sleeps. Watch its official video here:
