Man/Woman/Chainsaw share latest single ‘Something Else to Give’ from upcoming debut album ‘Cannonball’

With their debut LP edging closer to release, Man/Woman/Chainsaw share the album’s closer, ‘Something Else to Give’. 

Set for release on 7th August via Fiction Records, ‘Cannonball’ is a defiant mission statement from the young London sextet. The record’s closer, ‘Something Else to Give’ is in many ways the distillation of the band’s ability to craft intricate, yet catchy art-rock. 

Recorded under the guidance and tutelage of Margo Broom (Fat White Family, Big Joanie) and Seth Evans (Geordie Greep, Black Midi), ‘Something Else to Give’ captures the live power and technicality of the group without sacrificing their emotive sensitivity.

Singer and bassist, Vera Leppänen, comments: “Something Else to Give is a song on love and disappointment. It talks about exerting yourself for someone who doesn’t reciprocate the effort. We wrote it kind of in a flash - the process felt very organic and intuitive; it immediately felt like the obvious closer for the album.”
