Listen: Brody Dalle Unveils New Song ‘Meet The Foetus/ Oh The Joy’

Last year, Brody Dalle revealed that she would be making a triumphant return to music, having confirmed that she had begun work on a new solo project, and now, we have a first taste of what’s to come.

Taken from her forthcoming debut solo album, Dalle’s first song is titled ‘Meet The Foetus/ Oh The Joy’ and features backing vocals from the likes of Garbage’s Shirley Manson, as well as Warpaint’s Emily Kokal.

Kickstarting the writing and recording process for the mother-of-two, it seems that the song’s title carries a certain sense of irony too. ‘The first song I wrote was ‘Meet The Foetus’,’ Dalle explained to DIY late last year, ‘and ironically I found out I was pregnant a week later. Psychically, I think I knew I was pregnant again! That was the first song I wrote and I played everything on that song.’
